About me

Shindy Lestari is a lens-based artist based in Bali, Indonesia. She completed her bachelor's degree at Binus University, focusing on Public Relations. Her photography works explore the intimate nuances of human relationships, domesticity, and the everyday acts that define our shared experiences. Through photography, she examines themes of caregiving, motherhood, and the quiet rhythms of domestic life, weaving personal narratives with broader social observations, particularly within the family as the smallest, yet most profound, unit of community.

Her practice extends beyond personal projects into commissioned and freelance work, where she documents artisan processes, small businesses, and intimate family moments. Shindy’s work has been recognized internationally through exhibitions, publications, and awards.
